This class is designed for leather beginners who want to leave knowing more than when they arrived. We'll start by working with some basic leather tools and learn a few simple techniques. Then, we’ll practice our newfound skills while we make 3 projects, all easily finished during the 2-hour session.

 

$85 per person includes a short seminar and 3 make-and-take projects of your choice. Participating students can take a bag of leather scraps with them to practice or learn further at home. We also offer a 20% discount on all in-store Branch Line Leather merchandise to all students on the day of the class.


There is a certain amount of hand-eye coordination and grip strength involved in the leatherworking techniques used. We have found that kids under 12 and some older adults may have difficulty getting through the class. If you have any concerns, please contact us to discuss.


Students will be asked to sign a general waiver prior to the beginning of class.

Make your own genuine leather belt using our high quality Strapping Leathers, specialized tools and finishes, plus your own skill and elbow grease.


Choosing from several colors, you'll learn to use basic leatherworking tools as you cut the belt strip to length and width, bevel and finish the edges, punch the holes and attach the buckle of your choice.


Participating students can take a bag of leather scraps with them to practice or learn further at home. We also offer a 20% discount on all in-store Branch Line Leather merchandise to all students on the day of the class.
